My Beginnings

For me, my journey into the world of modelling and the adult industry began in a rather unconventional way at the age of 19. Raised in a fairly affluent household, the very thought of adult content seemed, well, far from my world. I had never imagined watching it, let alone working in the industry. Initially, I was sceptical, probably more than a little. I even tried to convince my then-girlfriend to quit her “risqué” job as an adult webcam model and return to education, urging her to follow a more traditional path.

However, after much hesitation, I finally agreed to give it a try. Joining her for a preplanned “one off” webcam show. In just three hours online, doing nothing more provocative than casual chatting and kissing, earned us over £4,000, more than double what I made in a month as a trainee veterinary nurse.

The next morning, I woke up with an entirely new perspective. The idea of slogging through years of expensive education for a job that might leave me barely scraping by, while being burdened with a £35,000 student loan, suddenly didn’t seem so appealing. We’re all taught that success comes from following the conventional educational path, but the truth is, it’s hard work and determination that ultimately determines your success, not the letters after your name.

I understood the risks involved. No traditional company would hire someone with a few GCSEs and a career in adult entertainment. If I was going to take this leap, I had to do it right. I had to own it. I had to be brave, confident, trust my ability to succeed and come at this from a business prospective. After months of research and planning, I finally felt ready to take the leap.

The making of Honour May

Longevity was everything to me. I didn’t just want to be another fleeting presence in the adult industry, I wanted to stand the test of time. This was long before platforms like OnlyFans made content creation easily accessible. I had to build from scratch, a name, a brand, and a persona that would stand out. I needed to be that little something different, and so, Miss Honour May was born.

I crafted her as a character who was elegant, sophisticated, and maybe a little bit intimidating. A woman you could respect as much as you desired. She was polished, well-spoken, and a little bit cheeky, challenging traditional expectations of the industry.

With that I quit my job in veterinary science, dropped out of education, sat down with my family and friends to share my vision. I confronted them with a detailed business plan, outlining the next five years and projected earnings. After a lengthy convocation I managed to convinced them (somewhat shocked, but supportive) that this was the direction I needed to take, and sure enough, the following years brought me more success than I could have ever imagined. I was nominated for prestigious awards, travelled all over the world for work, and earned more money than I ever thought possible at such a young age.

This was my chance to create a new life, one that was filled with adventure, growth, and freedom.

Reflections

The road hasn’t been without its bumps. Let’s be honest, the adult industry can be mentally taxing. The pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards, the constant self-doubt, and the judgment from others can really wear you down. But after ten years, I’ve learned to rise above it. This job isn’t easy, and it’s definitely not all glitz and glamour.

The truth is, our careers don’t define us. They’re just one part of who we are. The persona I put out into the world was my armour, a way to protect myself from the harsh words and judgments. The real me, no one really knows that and that’s okay. We all have our own stories, and we get through them by staying true to ourselves and never letting the noise drown out our dreams.

Today, I want to help the next generation of ambitious individuals, people just like me, who want to build something for themselves, regardless of what industry they’re in. The world is changing, and the rise of platforms like OnlyFans has shown just how much the adult industry has evolved. What was once taboo is now an accessible and empowering way for people to create an income and build their brands.

After 10 years of hard work I’ve now diversified my earnings into new business ventures, and my goal is to inspire others to do the same, to take chances, and to follow their dreams.

The Real Me

As much as I’d love for everyone to believe I’m living a glamorous life, sipping champagne on a rooftop terrace in a designer dress, the reality is a bit different. You’ll probably find me knee-deep in mud trapsing across the fields behind my house, trying to keep my four cocker spaniels from swimming in a filthy ditch. I’m a country girl at heart, born and raised in rural Cheshire, surrounded by animals with a deep passion for the outdoors.

Sure, I enjoy the finer things, champagne, high heels, and the occasional designer piece, but more often than not, you’ll find me in wellies or riding boots, caring for my animals or exploring the great outdoors. That’s the real me. I love nature. I love adventure, and no amount of fame or success could ever change that.

When I made my first substantial earnings, it wasn’t about spending it on material items, it was about travel. I’d always dreamed of exploring hidden corners of the world so that is what i did, from camping in Romania to touring Texas with a small-town band, horse-riding up Machu Picchu to solo adventures in Costa Rica, I adored the freedom I had worked so hard to create.

Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it does buy freedom, and that freedom is everything to me. It has allowed me to live life on my terms, experience the world, and understand what hard work really means.

Opportunity
