One day I realised I was running on empty. Don’t get me wrong, I built a career based on confidence, but being in the adult industry wasn’t just about showing up and doing the job. It’s about constantly managing the emotional weight, the judgment, the on-the-go lifestyle, and it’s a lot. By the time I was approaching my mid-20s, I felt like I was losing touch with who I was outside of the work. That’s when I made the scariest but best decision of my life at that time. I took a gap year…

At first, I thought, “Am I even allowed to do this?” “What will happen to my career? Will I just become obsolete?” But honestly, that’s exactly why I needed to. My job had become my whole identity, and I wanted to remind myself of who I was beyond the screen. I had a plan, to build a custom “one-off” campervan, setoff for the unknown and live by a promise to follow whatever felt right. I started traveling, not to escape but to reconnect. I spent months in small towns and captivating open landscapes throughout Europe, soaking in new experiences without the pressure to share every moment. Somewhere along the way, I rediscovered what made me “me”. I remembered that I’m allowed to set boundaries, that it’s okay to take time for myself, and that my worth isn’t tied to how much money I make or how well I perform in my job, i don’t need to constantly compete to keep myself relevant in the modelling world.

This experience isn’t just for people in my line of work, it’s for anyone who feels like life is moving faster than they are. Whether you’re in a corporate job, running a small business, or chasing a creative dream, we all deserve time to pause and ask ourselves what truly matters. Taking that gap year didn’t just help me find myself again, it helped me build a stronger, healthier relationship with my career. I came back with a clearer sense of purpose and, most importantly, a deeper love for myself. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I promise, it’s okay to step back. You’re not giving up, you’re giving yourself room to grow… for me, when I returned I reconnected with my passion for horses and make a solid commitment to dive in feet first in starting “Miss May Lingerie” and just go for it.

To every woman out there, never let the world define you. Never stop fighting for your dreams, and never apologise for being who you are. Life may throw you unexpected detours, but those twists and turns can lead to a place where you stand taller, shine brighter, and live fully as yourself.

In 2023 I became a mum to my beautiful baby boy, Carter, he has been the most profound and life-changing experience I’ve ever known. Like so many of us, I’d heard the stories, seen the films, and listened to friends share their journeys into motherhood, but nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepare me for the moment he came into my world. The love I felt holding him for the first time was overwhelming. It was a kind of love so powerful, it’s hard to put into words. And yet, with that love came an avalanche of questions and worries that I know every new mum faces.

Would I be enough? Could I give him everything he needed? Could I chase my dreams while building a future for him? These thoughts circled in my mind, and I realised they’re the weight so many mothers carry in those first few weeks. But what I didn’t expect was how much he would teach me. His tiny fingers wrapped around mine, his little giggles lighting up even the hardest days, and the wonder in his eyes as he discovered the world around him, all of it reminding me what truly matters. That bond we’ve created is unshakable, and it’s a constant source of strength and clarity for me. Carter has become my greatest inspiration. He’s the reason I push forward, even when things feel tough. He’s the reason I wake up every morning with more determination than I’ve ever had. I want him to grow up knowing that his mum believed in herself, even when the path wasn’t clear. I want him to see that love, perseverance, and grit can overcome anything.

Motherhood isn’t easy. There are challenges, sleepless nights, and moments of self doubt that we all feel. But it’s also the most rewarding, life-affirming journey. Carter has given my life a new sense of purpose, one that inspires me to dream bigger and work harder, not just for me, but for him. To every mum out there, this is our journey, and we’re stronger than we know.

I have always been a passionate equestrian and i am very fortunate to have forged a very special bond with my horse Dakota, my beautiful 16hh Irish sports horse gelding and spirited companion. Owning a horse like Dakota isn’t just a
hobby it’s a way of life. From early mornings at the stables to those quiet moments where it’s just the two of us. I discovered some time ago that being an equestrian is as much about dedication as it is about love. My passion for horses runs deep, but there’s one discipline that’s captured my heart in a unique way…Western barrel racing. It’s not as widely practiced here in the UK as it is across the the US, but I’ve fallen in love with the thrill of it. The speed, the precision, the bond required between rider and horse, it’s a rush like no other. Every ride with Dakota teaches me focus, trust, and the sheer joy of pushing limits together.

But being with Dakota isn’t just about competition. It’s about the escape, the freedom that comes from galloping across an open field or quietly brushing his mane at sunset. Horses have a way of grounding you, reminding you of life’s simpler, purer joys. With Dakota, the noise of the world fades away, leaving space for peace and purpose. Owning a horse demands commitment, hard work, and patience, but the rewards are infinite. Dakota is more than just a horse, he’s my partner, my inspiration, and a reminder that some of life’s greatest joys come from the bonds we create and the passions we pursue.

With love and a touch of hay.

Miss May is a British luxury lingerie house born from a desire to redefine elegance. Where every detail is intentional, and every piece is made to honour the woman who wears it.

Founded and designer by myself Honour Spencer, Miss May is rooted in deep appreciation for timeless beauty, sensual strength, and the art of lingerie.

The debut collection unveils three signature sets, each steeped in Renaissance inspired drama, elegance, and rich symbolism. These are designs that don’t just rest on the skin, they awaken something beneath it. Whether worn in private or styled to be seen, Miss May invites you to embrace lingerie not as something to impress others, but as a form of self-adornment, self-celebration, and self-confidence.

A Commitment to Diversity & Acceptance

In today’s world, where inclusion and acceptance are more important than ever, Miss May Lingerie stands as a beacon of progress. I hope my journey is a reminder that everyone has a story worth telling, and that true elegance lies in understanding, celebrating, and embracing differences. Through our brand, we aim to spark conversations, foster inclusivity, and redefine what it means to feel beautiful.

I champion diversity in every form, celebrating people of all identities and experiences. My own story is a reminder that our pasts do not define us’ they enrich us. By sharing my journey, I invite others to embrace their stories and wear their confidence like a crown.

Knowledge & Ambition

Throughout my modelling career I believe I have developed a deep understanding of the craftsmanship and design behind each piece I’ve been fortunate to wear some expectational lingerie and be an advocate for its artistry and functionality. My professional experience has taught me’ that every element in the design from the curve of a neckline to the sheen of a strap was deliberate and a precise decision.

My designs and collections each begin with an “origin story” the designs that I have created are not “for the necessity” of following’ what’s commercially ‘in’ but are instead inspired from a background of contemporary interpretation and are deeply rooted in historical context, it’s with these true “origin story’s” that my designs have luxuriously humble beginnings.

It’s with this commitment and dedication’ to creating lingerie of an exceptional quality and artistry that Miss May Lingerie was formed bringing together my unique knowledge as a former professional model and my unwavering push to make Miss May synonymous as the leading and newest breakthrough Lingerie Company.
